BEAUTY: Interior Design--Jean-Louis Deniot

From this month's Elle Decor, feast your eyes on this sumptuous Parisian apartment Jean-Louis Deniot created for a "Saudi princess"--it's her "first apartment" and she wanted her starter home to be elegant. So she bought a 5,000 square foot space housed in a late 19th century building in the posh 16th arrondisement, the wealthiest neighborhood in Paris, across the Seine and opposite the Eiffel Tower. As you do...

What is so remarkable about this apartment is the fearless use of materials, finishes, and textures. Study each photo for spectacular wallpapers, marbles, metals, and bespoke rugs. I adore the enormous living room chandelier with rock crystal drops (instead of traditional faceted crystal drops), each floor and rug design, and the blue lacquer master bathroom! Stunning!
