Congratulations Virginia, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin, and Indiana!

The Supreme Court of the Unites States this morning left intact lower court rulings reversing bans on marriage equality in Virginia, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin, and Indiana!

Because of this legal action (or "non-ruling"), we could soon be joined by North Carolina, West Virginia, South Carolina, Wyoming, Kansas, and Colorado, bringing the total of states where marriage equality exists to 30!

And on a personal note, I will tell you that I got married this summer--we had our ceremony in the south of France--and although we have been together for many years under what would be considered a "domestic partnership," it feels different, better, being actually, legally married. Domestic partnerships are NOT the same. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Welcome Virginia, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin, and Indiana...and congratulations!
